This covers michaelslop.org and the slop panel, the Twitch Extension that appears below the stream on twitch.tv/michaelslop. See also the terms of use.

Short version: the site is one person's hobby project. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.

The slop panel (Twitch Extension)

The panel lets viewers make the stream's text-to-speech say something.

What it receives. When you open the panel, Twitch gives it a signed token identifying the channel and — only if you press "share identity" and approve it — your Twitch user ID. Without that approval the panel cannot be used, and no identifying information is received.

What it does with it. The user ID is sent to michaelslop.org, which asks Twitch for the matching login name and whether you subscribe to the channel. Both are needed to enforce who may use the feature and to show the stream's moderators who sent each line. They are held in memory only, for at most five minutes, and are never written to disk.

What is stored. The text you submit is turned into audio, played on the stream, and shown in the moderator panel so it can be moderated. Your login is shown next to it. The generated audio file is temporary. Your login is also kept in memory for the length of the cooldown between messages.

What is never collected. No email address, no payment details, no browsing history, no cookies set by the panel, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no location.

The website

Signing in with Twitch is optional and uses Twitch's own OAuth. When you sign in, a session cookie is set so the site remembers you for twelve hours. The cookie's value is stored only as a hash, so the saved data cannot be used to sign in as you. Your login name and whether you subscribe are kept for as long as the session lasts.

Ordinary web-server request logs (address, page, timestamp) exist while the server is running and are not retained or analysed.

Traffic is served through Cloudflare, which processes requests as part of delivering the site.

Your choices

• Do not press "share identity" in the panel, and it receives nothing about you.
• Revoke it at any time in Twitch's connection settings.
• Sign out of the website to end the session immediately.
• Ask for anything relating to you to be removed, using the address below.
