Terms of use

These terms cover michaelslop.org and the slop panel, the Twitch Extension on twitch.tv/michaelslop. Using either means you accept them. See also the privacy notice.

Short version: this is one person's hobby project, it is free, be decent with it, and it might break or disappear without warning.

Who can use it

The site is open to anyone. The interactive features — text-to-speech, drawing, the soundboard — additionally require signing in with Twitch, and some are limited to subscribers or to people the channel's moderators have granted access. Nothing here is for sale and no payment is ever taken.

If you are under 13, or under the minimum age to hold a Twitch account where you live, do not use the interactive features.

Using text-to-speech

Anything you submit is spoken aloud on a live broadcast, attributed to your Twitch name in the moderator panel. So:

• Do not submit anything hateful, harassing, sexual, threatening, or illegal.
• Do not submit other people's personal information.
• Do not use it to impersonate someone.
• Do not automate it, flood it, or work around the cooldowns.
• Do not try to make the stream say something that would break Twitch's Community Guidelines — the broadcaster is accountable for what goes out, and that is the standard.

Moderators can stop a message mid-playback, clear the queue, mute an individual, or switch the whole feature off. Those decisions are final and need no explanation. Access can be removed at any time, for any reason.

Messages are moderated by people, not screened by a filter before playing. Sending something that breaks these rules can get you muted here and may also get you banned from the Twitch channel.

What you submit

You keep whatever rights you have in the text you write. By submitting it you allow it to be synthesised into audio, played on the live broadcast, shown to the channel's moderators, and captured in any recording or clip of that broadcast — which may stay online afterwards. There is no way to un-say something that has already gone out live.

What this is not

The site and the panel are provided as-is, with no warranty and no guarantee of uptime. The site is deliberately offline whenever the stream is not running, and it can go down at any time. Features may change or be removed without notice. Nothing here is a paid service, so no refunds arise and no service level is promised.

Do not rely on this for anything that matters.
